The cane arrives at our factory after 5 years of aging, and got cut in tubes.
Our premise was always the fabrication and processing of our products with the highest quality standards, both in the cultivation of Arundo Donax, which develops in 4 ecologically sustainable plantations, and in the fabrication, where we positioned as the third manufacturer of the world. We’re present in more than 30 countries and we are at the forefront of quality and innovation
Our company nowadays have four Arundo Donax cane plantations, which makes a total of 42 hectares of cultivated land, run by Agricultural Engineer Pablo Nacaratto, that since his incorporation to our team has stablished new standards in the high production organic farming.
Our company is present in more than 30 countries around the world and is in the forefront of quality and innovation
The cultivation system is with furrows, separated by alleys between 6 and 10 meters wide, depending on the age of the plantation. The watering is Californian style and by trickle irrigation. For this we count with boreholes from 180 to 200 meters deep.
To fertilize the ground only natural and organic products are used (worm humus and goat manure) and are not used any kind of pesticides, herbicides nor agrochemicals. The sun and ground of Mendoza make the rest; both elements are decisive to achieve this excellent raw material, whose main characteristic is its special sound and unique yellow color.
The harvest is made in the winter during the frost season, when the sage has descended completely. The canes are manually harvested with hand scissors, and they’re cut after their second life cycle. Then they settle during a few months, until the moment the leaves are taken, and start the sun dry where they’re exposed to the sun for 30 days with continuous rotations until they get an even yellow in all of its varnish.
How’s the rigorous making process?
