Juan Manuel Guerrero Milla

Peruvian clarinetist, born in the city of Lima. He studied at the National University of Music, under the guidance of Ana Barrera Albegrin, Claudio Panta Salazar and José Luis Eca.

He is the Principal Clarinetist of the Symphonic Orchestra of the National University of Music of Peru. Also, he participated in the III Latin American Congress for Clarinetists in Brasilia (Brazil, 2013); the II International Clarinet Course, in charge of the master Luis Rossi (Argentina, 2018); the IV and V International Clarinet Festival (Paraguay, 2018 and 2019, respectively). He attended to masterclasses with the masters Luis Rossi (Argentina), Juan Ferrer (España), Antonio Saiote (Portugal) and Guillermo Marín (Colombia). 

As a soloist, his repertoire includes plays from W.A. Mozart, Francis Poulenc, C.M. von Weber, among others. Related to chamber music he participated in the 100 years anniversary of the “zarzuela” “El cóndor Pasa”, from the Peruvian composer Daniel Alomía Robles, under the direction of the master Wilfredo Tarazona. 

He is the founder and president of the National Association of Clarinetists of Peru and a Clarinet Professor at the National University of Music.
