Tsutsumi Atsuki
Tsutsumi Atsuki studied clarinet in the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. He studied under the former Vienna Philharmonic Principal Clarinet, Professor Schmiedel, and Bassoon, Professor Ehrberger (chamber music). After working as a principal player of the Vienna State Opera, and being a member of the Woodwind Quintet Ligeti, he returned to Japan. He performed in support of the performance of the Vienna State Opera in said country.
Appeared at the Nagoya International Chamber Music Festival on June 2005, and at the International Clarinet Festival on July. In the same year, the group “MiA”, a joint production group of musicians and composers, was formed to create a fusion of music, literature and art. He has continuously held the “Atsuki Tsutsumi Clarinet Concert” from 2006. Since 2011, he has been holding “Summer Holiday Full Day Children’s Concerts” and is working on creative stage productions that incorporates music plays, musicals, and ballet. He was awarded the Nagoya City Arts Award in 2014.
He is a member of Haydn Sinfonietta Orchestra, Raimund Opera Orchestra, and Ligeti Woodwind Quintet.
