Etevaldo Cristovam dos Santos, known as Théo Santos Saxophonist, born in Goiana, State of Pernambuco, Brazil, and raised in Pitimbu, State of Paraiba, son of María José dos Santos and Antonio Cristovam dos Santos, is a saxophonist with strong influences from the Gospel and African-American music, that has as main references the saxophonists John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Ernie Watts, Kirk Whalum, Gerald Albright, Everette Harp, Maceo Parker.

Théo fell in love with music at 9 years old, in church. However, his first interaction with the saxophone was at the age of 16, while working in a project from the church he was a part of. That project lasted for only 3 months, but his love for music and the desire to learn how to play the saxophone was in his heart; he borrowed one from the City Hall and began to study it, alone, next to a soccer field.

He studied at the Music School from Caaporã city, Paraíbia; at October 12th Society and Curica Musical Society, both in Goiana, Pernambuco; at Music School “Toque de Vida” and at the Musical Extension Course, from the Paraíbia Federal University.

Théo is featured in several cd’s, dvd’s, shows and recordings with artists from the Northeast Region of Brazil and Gospel Music, for 17 years, and also has more than 500 phonographic works in his music career.

At 35 years old, he continues to develop his work in the State of Paraíba, where he currently lives in the city of João Pessoa.
